F.Morreno-Torroba Guitar Works
release:2017/11/23
The 17th solo album is a collection of guitar works by Federico Moreno Torroba (1891-1982), renowned as a master of Spanish opera and zarzuela representing 20th-century Spain.
This year, 2017, marks exactly 30 years since the passing of the great maestro Andrés Segovia. Although Trova himself did not play the guitar, his friendship with Segovia led him to compose numerous works for the instrument.
This album gathers beloved masterpieces cherished by renowned 20th-century guitarists, including Segovia.
It’s a CD featuring selections that seem obvious yet were never compiled before. Born in Madrid, the heart of Castile in central Spain, Trova’s compositions are characterized by their elegance, wit, and cheerful style.
